We had notice that we have a weather change, and in our place, it’s raining since the last 5 days. It’s bad news to the people who can’t spend their summer on the beach. Actually I’ve just check the weather forecast today and I can see that the LPA (low pressure area) changes into a storm. And I’ve known that in about three months we will have at least 5 storms, can you imagine that. Sorry for all who wants to go on a summer escapade and sorry for us because Bicol Region is always the way of storm. I hope it will not go strong.
But speaking of summer escapade, at least we got to go for a swim last Sunday, and the weather on that beach is still fine. We left home at 3pm and we arrive at the place at 5pm, it’s a bit far but that’s fine. The beach doesn’t look like Boracay or Bohol with white sand and blue green clear water, but we don’t care, our happiness and the children’s happiness is the most important for us. Check out this picture of my cousins, aunts, nieces and friends having fun on the beach.

Now you see it’s always good to have a bonding with family and friends once and for all, we left the beach at 10pm and arrived at home by 12 midnight, but at least we’ve done it without any problem and bad weather, were still lucky.

Don’t you have any summer escapades, if you have, send it to me and I will post it, so that everybody can check it out. Good luck..

Swine influenza (also swine flu) refers to influenza caused by any strain of the influenza virus (family Orthomyxoviridae) that is endemic in pigs (swine). Strains endemic in swine are called swine influenza virus (SIV). Of the three genera of Orthomyxoviridae that are endemic in humans, two are endemic also in swine: Influenzavirus A (common) or Influenzavirus C (rare). Influenzavirus B has not been reported in swine. Within Influenzavirus A and Influenzavirus C, the strains endemic to swine and humans are largely distinct.
People who work with poultry and swine, especially people with intense exposures, are at risk of infection with influenza from these animals if the animals carry a strain that is also able to infect humans. SIV can mutate into a form that allows it to pass from human to human. The strain responsible for the 2009 swine flu outbreak is believed to have undergone such a mutation.
Signs and Symptoms
In humans, the symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of influenza and of influenza-like illness in general. In most cases, the strain responsible for the 2009 swine flu outbreak causes only mild symptoms.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in humans the symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of influenza and of influenza-like illness in general. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. A few more patients than usual have also reported diarrhea and vomiting.
Because these symptoms are not specific to swine flu, a differential diagnosis of probable swine flu requires not only symptoms but also a high likelihood of swine flu due to the person’s recent history. For example, during the 2009 swine flu outbreak in the United States, CDC advised physicians to “consider swine influenza infection in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute febrile respiratory illness who have either been in contact with persons with confirmed swine flu, or who were in one of the five U.S. states that have reported swine flu cases or in Mexico during the 7 days preceding their illness onset.” A diagnosis of confirmed swine flu requires laboratory testing of a respiratory sample (a simple nose and throat swab).
Prevention
Recommendations to prevent infection by the virus consist of the standard personal precautions against influenza. This includes frequent washing of hands with soap and water or with alcohol-based hand sanitizers, especially after being out in public. People should avoid touching their mouth, nose or eyes with their hands unless they’ve washed their hands. If people do cough, they should cough into a tissue and throw it in the garbage immediately, cough into their elbow, or, if they cough in their hand, they should wash their hands immediately. Vaccines that are effective against the current strain are being developed.

Safe Care Campaign reports that hand transmission is one way that germs are carried, not only from one area to another (for instance, a contaminated surface to your nose or mouth, but also from one person to another as when shaking hands). When attending to a patient, it is imperative to wash and/or sanitize hands, not only prior to touching them but afterwards as well.
Remember “prevention is better than cure.” Take care.

Human females may get offended at dates who expect a little something extra after they buy a steak dinner, but for chimpanzees, the exchange may be a fair one, German researchers reported.
They found that female chimpanzees mate more frequently with males who often share meat with them.
“Our results strongly suggest that wild chimpanzees exchange meat for sex, and do so, on a long-term basis,” Cristina Gomes of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany said.
“Males who shared meat with females doubled their mating success, whereas females, who had difficulty obtaining meat on their own, increased their caloric intake without suffering the energetic costs and potential risk of injury related to hunting.”

Writing in the Public Library of Science Journal PLoS ONE, Gomes and colleague Christopher Boesch said they watched chimps living in the Tai National Park in Ivory Coast.
“The meat for-sex hypothesis is a plausible explanation for male-female meat sharing in this species, as chimpanzees are highly promiscuous, they have a certain degree of female choice and hunters can usually control the sharing of their catch,” they wrote in their report.
Males were more likely to share meat with females whose bodies showed they were in a fertile period, but even excluding these couplings, it was clear that mating behavior occurred more often between males and the females they were regularly sharing meat with.
“Our findings add to the ever-growing evidence suggesting that chimpanzees can think in the past and the future and that this influences their present behavior,” Boesch said.
“These findings are bound to have an impact on our current knowledge about relationships between men and women; and similar studies will determine if the direct nutritional benefits that women receive from hunters in human hunter-gatherer societies could also be driving the relationship between reproductive success and good hunting skills,” Gomes added.

- 1. Emptiness – the first requirement is to empty your mind of everything that does not pertain to your appointment to the position you seek. You must not have other goals, no other thoughts. You must concentrate on the desired appointment and meditate on it daily.Your time must also be empty. You must have the ability to wait however long it takes. You must see yourself in the post you desire and nowhere else. You are not going to take another job. If the appointment doe not come today, you will wait until tomorrow. If you don’t get the position this year, you will wait until next year.
- 2. Boring In – you must seize every little opportunity to advance your prospects. When you find such an opportunity, you must try to enlarge it. If there are no opportunities, you must focus your thoughts on creating an opportunity. The image uses is of some hard objects pushing, probing, and boring away relentlessly.
- 3. Self-Praise – you must constantly seek to bring your qualifications and importance to the attention of those who are in a position to help you.
- 4. Flattery – you must ingratiate yourself with those who can help you. Flatter then to their faces. Praise them to others who will carry your words back tot hem.
- 5. Threats – you must be very suitable with your threats, because you may unknowingly threaten people with great ability to do your harm. The threats should develop naturally out of your self-praise. Let you listener draw the conclusion that if you are so talented, it would be unfortunate if you were to end up in a rival ministry or even be appointed to a position of authority over him. If you are o well connected to important people, you might have the ability to make trouble for him if you are not accommodated.
- 6. Bribery – there are two kinds of bribery. The first involves small gifts, meals, drinks. Often these small gifts create a sense of obligation far exceeding their cot. They should be given not only to the man who has the power to appoint you, but also to his relatives and friends. Large bribes are used to seal the appointment. They should also be given to those who have great influence with the official who has the power to appoint you.

How’s your Holy Week? How and where did you celebrate it? Have you seen new things and happenings?
I guess just like most of the people, I’m also excited about holy week. You know, relatives will arrive, my friends will return from work, all along from different part of the Philippines, new gifts arrive from friends and relatives..that’s not a good reason, but reasonable…hehehe… Don’t you also long for it, or when you’re the one arrive from Manila or from other place your relatives are asking about “pasalubong” (presents). I guess it’s just natural and it’s in our culture since birth of Juan de la Cruz, isn’t it?

Anyways, I’m not going to talk about that, I’m going to talk about Holy Week. How do we celebrate Holy Week in our place? We celebrate, just like in other town, having drama about life and death of Jesus Christ, Crusifixion of some devotees, then what we called “penetensya” (penetence) people are hurting theirselves, and the most popular is the Saint Parade or we call it “Prusisyon ng mga Santo.”

Our town is one of the popular town in Camarines Sur, when Holy Week comes. Why? Because of our Meraculous Jesus Image lying in bed when he was removed from the crusifix, we call it “Hinulid” which means “putted in bed.” People from different part of the region or from Manila, visits this Image every Holy Week, or people here visit every first and last Friday of the month.
I was so amazed when I go with the parade, because there’s a lot of people, me and my cousins wonder where all of this people come from. But that’s the way it is. I already tried celebrating Holy Week in Tagaytay City, but nothing compares in your own town, right. But I want to experience Holy Week in Bulacan, can anybody bring me there next time?hehehe.. I hope you like my story and pictures. Thank you.

This is the continuation of the safer sex guidelines 1.
Use spermicides containing nonoxynol-9. This is the active ingredient in most spermicides sold in the United States. It’s actually a mild detergent that destroys HIV by bursting its protein membrane. It also kills microbes that cause other STD’s, including herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis and trichomoniasis. Generally, in fact, protecting yourself against AIDS with spermicide and condoms also protects you against a whole host of other STDs as an added bonus.
Herpes genitalis(When symptomatic, the typical manifestation of a primary HSV-1 or HSV-2 genital infection is clusters of inflamed papules and vesicles on the outer surface of the genitals resembling cold sores
Beware of open sores. Open sores increase risk. In order to infect a new host, the virus must somehow enter that person’s blood stream. Normally, intact, healthy skin provides a nearly insurmountable barrier against HIV. Even if you get some infected blood or semen against your skin, this is almost invariably safe. But if you have open sores on your genitals or in your mouth, the virus has a portal of entry directly into the bloodstream. Studies of homosexual men have shown that those with herpes, syphilis or chancroid (all STDs that produce open sores if untreated) are at greater risk of becoming infected with HIV than men who are free of genital ulcers. This is also why unprotected anal, intercourse, which tears the lining of the rectum, is one of the riskiest of all sexual behaviors.
Can HIV penetrate the mucous lining of the vagina, rectum or mouth if there are no cuts or sores? The answer to this is not known, because it’s never been tested in humans (and, for ethical reasons, never will be). To protect yourself, whatever the answer: Use condoms.
Syphilis(is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the spirochetal bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum
Syphilis lesions on a patient’s back
Avoid high-risk practices. Being on the receiving and of unprotected anal intercourse is probably the riskiest sexual practice of all. (Don’t forget, though, that both partners are at risk in anal intercourse). Even using condoms is not entirely safe: With vaginal intercourse, about 1 in 100 condoms will break, but with anal intercourse, 10 in 100 will break, studies have found.
Worldwide, probably the most common mode of transmission is unprotected penis-in-vagina intercourse. Again: Don’t do it without using spermicide and a condom.
Don’t do unprotected sex with multiple partners, prostitutes or drug users. It’s also unsafe to have sex with someone who has had sex with multiple partners, drug users or prostitutes. Unfortunately, although it’s great to know the sexual history of your sex partner, the plain fact is that no area of life is more right with secrets – and – lies – than a persons sexual past. In one astounding study, 52 percent of sexually active HIV carriers admitted they had, at one time or another concealed their illness from a sex partner. So just because a sex partner tells you he or she hasn’t done anything risky doesn’t mean you can believe it.
vaginal syphilis(Secondary syphilis manifested perineal condylomata lata lesions, which presented as gray, raised papules that sometimes appear on the vulva or near the anus, or in any other warm intertriginous region.
Chancres on the penile shaft due to a primary syphilitic infection
When you ask people what they are doing to reduce their risk of getting AIDS, they often say, I’m being more careful about who I have sex with. But this is really very little help, because you simply can’t tell by looking at someone if they’re infected. After all, how do you think people are getting infected? They’re getting infected by having sex with people they think are not infected.
